The Masterclock NTP100-OSC is a compact, stand-alone NTP time server designed to provide accurate and reliable time synchronization across Ethernet networks without requiring an external GNSS, GPS or time-code reference.
The NTP100-OSC uses an internal temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) as its primary time reference, making it particularly suitable for environments where an external timing source is unavailable, undesirable, or restricted. An optional high-stability OCXO provides significantly improved holdover performance for applications requiring greater timing stability.
The unit delivers NTP time with an output accuracy of approximately ±2 milliseconds and supports NTP unicast, multicast and broadcast modes. It is compatible with IPv4 and IPv6 networks and supports DHCP, SSH/Telnet configuration and SNMP monitoring.
With its compact form factor, low power consumption and flexible network configuration, the NTP100-OSC is an ideal solution for data centers, IT networks, security systems, industrial facilities, broadcast environments and other applications requiring a dependable local NTP time source.
Key Features
Applications
The NTP100-OSC is suitable for applications where reliable network time synchronization is required but an external GPS/GNSS antenna or reference is not practical.
Typical applications include:
Why Choose NTP100-OSC?
Unlike GPS/GNSS-based NTP servers, the NTP100-OSC does not depend on an external satellite signal. Its internal oscillator provides a reliable local timing reference, making it particularly useful in secure facilities, indoor installations, shielded environments and locations where GNSS antennas cannot be installed. The optional OCXO provides enhanced stability where longer periods of operation without an external reference are required.
